Bise competes in States.
A state championship wrestling title is something that is highly sought after as a high school wrestler. Charlie Bise is one wrestler who was chasing this dream. Bise is a 103-pound freshman from East Pennsboro Area High School. In the regular season Bise racked up a record of 35-8. Although Bise did not place at the state tournament, he is proud of his performance. “He [Bise] had a great season for a freshman; he will have many good years to come,” said Andrew Katsifis, a former East Pennsboro wrestler. At the state championship Charlie Bise lost his first match 1-0 to Mason Beckman from Reynolds High School. In his second match in the consolation bracket, Bise lost 8-1 to Tanner Hough from Westmont-Hilltop High School, and his hopes at a state championship were over. “He [Bise] will be a state champion as a sophomore,” Coach Miller said, as a message of hope for young Charlie Bise.
