Things are looking good this year for the Panther girls' field hockey team at East Pennsboro Area High School. With one scrimmage and two weeks of preseason behind them, the girls see a lot of potential for the upcoming season.
"The Mechanicsburg scrimmage showed us what we need to improve on for the season. They're a really competitive team," says varsity starter and captain, Savanna Hersh. She also states, "We are willing to go the distance this year, and one of our team goals is to make it to playoffs." The Panthers really know what it takes to be a successful team, "We're going to work hard, play with intensity, and leave it all on the field," says Hersh. Under the coaching staff of Tabitha Hershey and Traci Brenner, and the leadership of captains Kirsten Dively, Ashley Marsh, and Savanna Hersh, everyone on the team is really pumped for this season. "We all get along really well as a team. We love to have fun, but we know when to be serious," says Hersh.
