The East Pennsboro Area High School Ladies’ Soccer team is regrouping along with many new faces.
Senior Megan Albright has been playing soccer since she was five years old. Albright believes that this year will be very good considering the girls that came out for the team. The coach this year is Scott Mull. He will be coaching without an assistant because the regular assistant coach’s wife is having a baby. The team has a lot of new faces. Albright said, “We have a lot of new freshman but I know they’re good.” Practices start March 3rd and the first game is sometime over Easter break. Albright also said that their biggest rival this year would be Trinity Girls' Soccer team. She said, “It would be great if a lot of people came out and supported us.”
Sophomore Savanna Hersh said, “Except for two years, I’ve been playing soccer all my life with EPLW soccer and school soccer.” Hersh said the captains last year were Lindsey Wilson, Kara Groff, and Jaime DiMartile. These players graduated so they will not be returning to the field to lead the team. Hersh said that there were a lot of returning players including new faces. Hersh doesn’t know how many the coach will take or if there will be a cut at some point before the season starts. Hersh said, “Come to the games because I’m ready for a fun season.” No one has commented on this article. |
