The season finale was a 46 to 12 win over Scotland High School. "Focus, wanting to finish the season well, and giving the seniors a good send-off were main factors in the game for us," sophomore Katie Schopman said. This year's season was a little disappointing since there were good leaders and a good core of all-around players. "Before the season, we thought we would do better than we actually did," Schopman said. The Panthers game against Shippensburg High School was one of the most exciting ones of the year, as they won by a nail-biting score of 52 to 51. A 20-point loss to Boiling Springs High School was a recent low point. There were a number of close games that could have gone either way. "Probably, two or three games that were losses could have been wins," Schopman said. Lindsay Murray was the leading scorer, Katie Schopman was the leading rebounder, and Trisha Grob led the team in steals. Murray and Schopman are returning next year, but Grob will be leaving. "It's hard to tell how we will do next year, since we are losing four great players," sophomore Stefani Idzakovic said, "but we also have a lot of young talent." |
