East Pennsboro Area School District boys' soccer team is looking hopeful and confident this 2008-2009 season. In spite of previous seasons, this year’s team is hoping to regain a good reputation. Senior Colin Mckenna says there is a tough season ahead but believes the team will do well. The reliable Mckenna is varsity captain for the second time in his high school career. “We’re improving tremendously and we’re a solid unit,” he states. Mckenna insists that the team’s confidence is up and has a goal to reach the play-offs this season. A new edition to the team this year, freshman Marcus Fissel, is having a blast. “I like the team and they are extremely fun,” Fissel says. While enjoying the season, he hopes to help the team out in any way he can. Fissel is also confident that the team will do well this year. So far the team has only played scrimmages, which includes defeating Susquehanna High School on both junior varsity and varsity. With Coaches, Moore and Uhrich, and some talented new players, the soccer team is looking bright for this season. |
