East Pennsboro Area High School's Colour Guard is undefeated.
Most people know the Colour Guard as the group spinning flags and rifles in the band front. But there is an indoor and outdoor division of Colour Guard. The indoor group has won first place in Gold Guard Divisions for five weeks in a row."Those in Colour Guard have a strong passion for dancing," said Kerri Morrow, colour guard member, "It takes a lot of practice and dedication for them to be this skilled." Colour Guard practices three times a week according to Morrow. They compete every Saturday night. Routines consist of at least two minutes of equipment and dance. Each routine is four to six minutes long for indoor and nine to eleven minutes for outdoor. Coaches, Meghan Ennis and Christina Knouse, make up the routines that take approximately two months to write. "Colour Guard is difficult and much more strenuous than it looks, but it is worth it in the end," said Sara Mehaffee. Other members include: Megan Bucher, Cassie Desbroisse, Marissa Fleagle, Chelsey Hammaker, Brooke Lowery-Mora, Megan Morrow, Kelle Noll, Rebecca Rhoades, Kathleen Shank, Ashley Sienkiewicz, Shannon Urich, and Paige Wealand.
