Like the commercial says: filling up the gas tank $50, a Barack Obama button $3, an Obama t-shirt $20.08, and an Obama yard sign $8, the chance to see the leading democratic candidate live and in person at the Forum, priceless.
With the Pennsylvania primary elections date rapidly approaching, the democratic candidates are making many stops in the ole’ Keystone State. One stop was on Sunday, March 30th at the Forum in Harrisburg where the Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama, came to speak with supporters and doubters to discuss important issues including the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, gas prices, health care, and the overall status of the economy. Obama supporter Adrian Robinson of Harrisburg told The Patriot News reporter, Charles Thompson, “It seems like he’s honest. It seems like he’s for the American man and the American woman. He doesn’t seem to get into some of the petty politics of years past.” Senator Hillary Clinton also made a stop in central Pennsylvania on March 31st at the Capitol Diner in Swatara Township where she had a private round table discussion about the economy and the problems this country is facing. During her visit she talked to protesting truck drivers about the gas prices. Former president and husband of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, made a stop at Dickinson College in Carlisle on March 28th showing his support for his wife’s candidacy and persuading unsure voters to consider Clinton on election day this April 22nd. Although all of these candidates are saying something different, they are all trying to get us to vote. If you don’t vote you shouldn’t be angered by the results. Just like dominos: it only takes one to make a difference. |
