Chelsea Clinton campaigned for her mother, Senator Hiliary Clinton, at One of the students, Jeremy Franczek, was able to personally ask Clinton the question: “If we took troops out of Iraq in 90 days, wouldn’t that lead to a dictator taking over and therefore defeat the purpose of ever being there in the first place?” In her response to this question, she talked about how she felt that the troops have been there for too long and their presence is more harmful than them not being there. “I felt like it was very informative for classes. We just got done talking about the election,” says Clark. Clinton talked about education including college costs, post-college, and grad school. Senior Kelley Powers says, “It was very interesting. She talked about pretty controversial topics which I found really interesting.” Clinton also talked about the economy, taxes, money, along with criticizing Bush administration policies. “I was very excited on the bus ride back to school because everyone was talking about politics,” says Clark. |
