Teacher of the week is Mr. Plank.
Newly nominated teacher of the week, Mr. Nick Plank, has been with the students and teachers at East Pennsboro Area High School for nearly two years. He began last year as a student teacher for Mr. Jeffrey Barlup’s business classes. This year, Plank took over Barlup’s old position and said, “I love what I teach.” Plank, only 24 years old, is not only an exceptional teacher, but he is also a "top of the line" coach for football and track. He enjoys coaching and said, “It’s good because I like to help students become athletes.” Junior Justin Jacome has been active in East Pennsboro football since he moved here from New York. He enjoys having Plank as a teacher as well as a coach, because he is “funny and down with the boys.” Senior Ryan Bushman was also able to build a good relationship with Plank. “Mr. Plank is a ladies man and very well dressed,” Bushman stated. Junior Kiri Kelly seconds that motion. Plank graduated from East Pennsboro Area High School in 2002. He attended Shippensburg University and received his Bachelor’s degree. Plank plans to put in many more exhilarating years teaching and coaching at East Pennsboro. Plank is one individual that East Pennsboro Area High School certainly does not want to lose.
