This week, senior Ravi Patel, is being honored for his many achievements throughout his high school career at East Pennsboro Area High School. Ravi was chosen by the faculty to give a speech at graduation this June. “I feel honored to get the opportunity to talk to everyone about the last four years and thank the faculty for helping me get to where I am today,” says Patel. Patel will graduate in the top ten of his class and will be attending the University of Pittsburgh in the fall. Patel states, “I am going to major in pharmacy. I feel that all my science classes here at East Penn have prepared me well for this field.” Patel has spent the last four years keeping his grades up, participating in both cross country and track, and hanging out with friends. When asked what was the hardest part about high school, Ravi exclaimed, “Managing time! I felt as though there was not enough time for everything and managing the short amount was very difficult.” Patel was recently nominated for the John Trevors Award: an award for high school seniors based on character, athletics, school, and community service. “My goal in life is leaving the world a better place than I found it,” states Patel. |
