East Pennsboro Area School District won musical recognition by sending students to chorus regionals.
Junior Rachel Dilts was one of the students who went to regionals. Dilts has participated in chorus every year other than when she was in 8th grade. Regionals are held as students from each school’s chorus win the opportunity to sing with different people from different regions in Pennsylvania. Dilts said, “It is fun, but I still get a little nervous before every song.” Another student that went to regionals was Sophomore Nicole Ioos. Ioos said that attending regionals is a privilege. Regionals will be held on March 27, 28, and 29th at Lititz Christian school. There they'll compete for state chorus. Dilts said, “Music is the universal language; it connects to all people.” Readers have left 3 comments. 1.Categorically Crazy ChoirAnonymous, UnregisteredAfter deep and thoughtful pondering I think I have discovered the final solution to all the problems of the EP Choir. We must [rid ourselves of] all the men that constantly feel the need to talk and interrupt our seemingly productive rehearsals. This seemingly detrimental act of talking in need of much reprimand. If it is decided not to [rid ourselves of] these inexcusable troublemakers, then I (and many of my comrades) will feel the need to yell and scream to cease all noise and bring silence (much like bombing for peace). Eventually, we will all have enough of screaming and feel the need to implement a completely necessary Circle Time in which will commence the exposing of inner and true feelings with the shedding of many tears. We, as students, have complete and total authority (some more than others) to combat the deadly foe of talkers.
So do not even start give me any plausible solutions to our Choir problems (such as abolition of circle time, letting a superior to you yell at your peers, listening to the stand in director when Mrs. McIntyre is absent, being respectful, and remaining silent). Instead let us go foreward together, yell and scream (which is just an amplified means of communicating) at those who are trying to communicate an inopportune moment, have seemingly helpful Circle Time (in which people's true feelings on things are not exposed but instead suppressed by overall leadership), and if we ever obtain the opportunity...[rid ourselves of] these trouble making talkers. 2.Agreement about ChoirAnonymous, UnregisteredI completely agree with everything this intelligent person said about choir. It is intelligent and well-thought-out. -Kudos "The louder you yell...the more quiet everyone else will get..." 3.agreeAnonymous, UnregisteredI have to agree with all of this. I read the article [...] and it makes sense.. I seen the kids that just sit in the hallway talking, and texting while band and chorus are going on. I also saw in the window kids just talking.. no singing.. The kids that do that shouldn't be in chorus [...]. |
