For many juniors, it is their first year going to prom and they are striving to make it a memorable experience for all. This means the pressure is on for their junior class officers.
“Things are coming along well. We are just a little bit behind schedule in ordering some things,” junior class president Kirsten Dively said. This year’s theme will be Arabian Nights. Prom will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Camp Hill on May 3, 2008. Tickets are going on sale roughly two to three weeks before and will cost around $60. Any junior or senior from East Pennsboro Area High School may attend and, with a signed note, you may escort someone from another school district. “We don’t have a set budget, but last year's prom cost about $20,000, so we might need to fundraise more,” junior class treasurer Brent Barge said. The junior class will most likely be selling kettle corn within the next few weeks. Tech teacher Mr. Jay Gainer will make this kettle corn and hopefully enough will be sold to cover the bill for prom. Juniors and sSeniors don’t forget to take care of you obligations and mark your calendars for May 3, 2008. “We are working our hardest to make this yea'rs prom a night to remember,” Dively said.
