Do you have a free night and eight bucks? Go see "The Bucket List."
The movie begins with two cancer patients who meet after they are put into the same room at a hospital. Carter, who is played by Morgan Freeman, starts writing down a list of things he would like to do before his time is up. Edward, who is played by Jack Nicholson, notices Carter writing this list and decides to throw in a few ideas of his own that are more exciting and adventurous. Edward makes it clear that money is not an option for the ideas on this list, because he is the owner of their hospital. Carter's wife comes into visit him one day in the room, and he tries to explain the idea of the list to her, and how he wants to go through with it. His wife shot it down right away, but Edward didn't take no for an answer, and he talked Carter into going it. Carter and Edward left the hospital together and began their journey of The Bucket List. I personally recommend this movie to anyone, no matter what your movie choices are. This is a nice "feel good" film about two men pursuing their dreams with only years to live. Although it is extremely depressing at points, it's a film that is guaranteed to make you smile. |
