East Pennsboro Township will be hosting their annual Pumpkin Fest once again.
Each year, the township has a festival at Adams Ricci Community Park with stands to raise money for different organizations. The park is filled with fun for everyone: kid's attractions, food, games, crafts, shops, and much more. The food ranges from funnel cakes and ice cream, to pork barbeque and their traditional, homemade chicken corn soup. "Everyone likes it, it's the kickoff for fall," states junior Savanna Hersh. "I usually help out with it, too. Last year I helped paint and measure the lines for the booths, and I also helped with the scarecrow-stuffing stand,” says Hersh. It takes some time and dedication from the town to set up the fest, but it's always worth it. Junior Razi Mohamed says, "It's fun to walk around with my friends, and they have really good food." This year, the fest will be held all day on October 11th and 12th. Be assured that most of the community will be participating! No one has commented on this article. |
