Winter has been here for a month or two, but skiing season has just begun.

Senior Ian Barry said when winter comes around he is most excited for skiing. Barry has been in East Pennsboro Area High School's ski club for about 7 years now, and he has always skied. Senior Kyle Allwein is also a skier; he only gets to go up about 10 times a season, because he also plays basketball. “I go up to Ski Roundtop with the school, and I go up every other chance I get” says Barry. Barry and Allwein both plan to get a season pass to Ski Roundtop after graduation so they can continue their hobby of skiing.

Allwein states that although the food at Roundtop is delicious, it is just far too expensive to buy dinner up there every night you go. Barry’s favorite trail at Ski Roundtop is Barrett’s Trail, and he also enjoys the terrain courses. Barry likes to do all kinds of jumps and spins. Although he has had a few wipe outs in the past, that is nothing to stop him from keeping his hobby of skiing around for as long as he can. Allwein says his favorite trail is Gun Barrel, “preferably with moguls on it.”
