The KMO (Knowledge Masters Open) competition for East Pennsboro Area High School’s team was held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
KMO is an international competition where teams from their respective schools compete as a team to answer two-hundred challenging trivia questions. Our school’s team did very well, achieving a score of 183 correct. While the results aren’t in yet to match them up with the rest of the schools in the world, instructor Jeffery Barlup feels that the team did extremely well. “The whole team did great," Barlup said, "and I feel that our standout competitor was Matt Linnehan” Brice Morey was a competitor this year, and he also felt the team did very well, “We were confident going into the competition, and I think we proved ourselves to be a threat to the other competitors.”
The test itself was taken in Ms. Labella’s room, after school. The team practiced everyday with random trivia, but as Mr. Barlup said, it's hard to train for this type of competition because the questions have never been seen prior to the event. No one has commented on this article. |
