Besides being the English department leader, Vasquez teaches English to seniors and sophomores, humanities, and creative writing. She has been working at East Pennsboro High School for 18 years. A middle school teacher inspired her to begin teaching. Vasquez had always loved reading and writing, so teaching, to her, seemed to be the perfect choice. She seems to enjoy her job and has fun doing it. The students at East Pennsboro enjoy having her for a teacher and say that she is a good teacher. “She is nice and she loves teaching,” says senior Andrea Robertson. When asked how she feels about teaching, Vasquez says, “I can’t think of any other career I would rather have.”
