Math teacher Matt Keys is a favorite at East Pennsboro Area High School due to his laid-back personality. “I love it here. The kids are great.” Keys said. Keys graduated with a major in math education from Bloomsburg University. Shortly after graduating, Keys taught at Lower Dauphin High School. After a year at Lower Dauphin, Keys changed schools and ended up here at East Penn. “I really like Mr.Keys. He’s very laid back,” Junior Alexis King said. King had Keys for Algebra II in tenth grade and now has him for Functions, Statistics and Trigonometry. She enjoys his class very much. “We take notes everyday and have homework each night, but he makes sure you understand, so it’s easy.” King said. Along with teaching math, Keys also helps out in our school weight room. He helps younger kids lift and also exercises for his own health. “Staying in shape is important to me and I like teaching kids how to stay healthy for the rest of their lives,” Keys said.
