The PSSA testing of juniors had an unexpected break after the first day because of two days off for unfavorable weather.
"The break won't affect the scores much," said Junior Jeremy Hayes, "it was just like having two Mondays, instead of a regular week." The testing was supposed to occur from Monday, February 11, 2008 to Wednesday, February 13, 2008 but the snow days postponed the last two days until the 14th and 15th of February."I would have liked to have three days straight because, with the days off, it seemed more dragged out, and I just wanted to get it over with," said Hayes. The days off were mainly because of ice rather than a large amount of snow. On Tuesday, February 12, the main portion of the inclement weather started at around two o'clock in the afternoon. On Wednesday, February 13, the after-effects of Tuesday's weather were felt and more was added."We only needed a two-hour delay on Tuesday, but having off on Wednesday was a good decision," said Junior Andrew Hoffman. |
