It has been a busy year for East Pennsboro Area High School’s chorus.
On top of a few select students accompanying Mrs. McIntyre on a Music Disney Trip, the chorus has been vigorously practicing for their upcoming spring performance. Auditions for the Disney trip were held and a few of the talented singers were asked to join the group to travel to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The trip took place April 17 through April 21. Students had time to explore the many wonders of Disney when they were not participating in vocal workshops or performing at Magic Kingdom. When asked if she enjoyed the trip to Disney, freshman Chloe McIntyre responded with a sprightly, “Yes!” Aside from performing at Magic Kingdom in Florida, East Pennsboro’s chorus has an upcoming show in Enola next Tuesday, the sixth, at 7:00 pm. “The students of the concert band and choir have been practicing since December for the Spring Concert,” said instructor Lisa McIntyre. They plan to perform ten pieces. Many of the band and chorus students are excited about this performance. “I love chorus, it’s [pretty much] the "bomb diggity",” stated freshman Nick Fortini. When asked, a few students said that they were not very nervous for the performance. Sophomore Clint Allwein said that he had “nerves of steel.” Many students are looking forward to the performance, and the performers are even more excited. Hopefully the Spring Concert will be as much of a hit as the Disney trip. With their successful Disney trip and their upcoming Spring Concert, it has been a successful year for chorus. |
